Colorado Springs

We go to Colorado Springs. We stumble past where Sal lives and into the wrong
part of town, where we try to find a motel from the sketchy offerings because
we haven’t gotten a hold of Sal or DD (Who’s out of town, anyways). Jim walks
up to this one place, which is so sketch that he needs to be buzzed into the
“lobby”. There’s a sign on the door saying that you should ring the bell to get
let in, so he rings the bell. The guy opens the door and asks him, “Did you
ring the bell?”. As if anyone else was there. Of course Jim tells him “Yes”,
and so the guy totally rips into him. “There’s someone sleeping in that back
room! You totally woke them up!”. There were no vacancies. Jim left so fast he
dropped his hat on the pavement as he scurried to the car and we had to go back
and get it.
Eventually Sal called, and we met him like drug dealers in an Albertson’s
parking lot. He saved the day and guided us through the thick fog to a number
of hotels until one eventually took us in. We all took much needed showers and
headed out to drink and eat with Sal. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet DD. If
she really exists. I think she might just be a fragment of Sal’s personality.
