Northern Exposure Summary & Map

On Sunday I will leave on a 750-1000 mile solo bicycle+camping adventure. This will be the first solo long distance (over 300 mile) ride I’ve done since the Lansing -> Kansas City expedition in the summer of 2004. This trip will be considerably different from the dense cornfields of the Midwest. Most of the terrain in Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is sparsely populated wilderness. Here is the general route I believe I will be taking (note the several hour long ferry ride between Michigan and Wisconsin):
