Northern Exposure Fin

I arrived back in Lansing three days early, just in time to provide housing for friends driving cross country. I’ve learned this before, but I learned once again that eleven solitary days on a bicycle can quickly start to feel like eleven years in purgatory. In the space of those eleven years the biggest struggle for me is to peddle forward amidst a headspace alive with the memories of the things I’ve left incomplete, what remains from before the journey began. I remembered that the spectre of loose ends can aggressively haunt the mind, particularly as the afternoon sun drains the body of water. As I crossed into Ingham county again, I was very glad to find myself in the company of good friends.
