Dense Tools

What is it, 22 days until departure?
Each time we move, we seem to take less stuff. Once you figure out how worthless stuff really is, the cost of moving it easily begins to outweigh its actual value. It’s no joke, stuff owns you. Get rid of it.
When we moved from MCI to SEA it was an entire truck full of stuff. When we moved from SEA to BOS it was a big pile of boxes. Here in BOS in prep for the move we are dumping nearly everything we own, including all our furniture. Basically if isn’t tactically deployable or somehow unique we aren’t taking it with us.
One of the basic things that does cost a lot more than its replacement value are my tools. Victoria already sold my Craftsman tool boxes on CL, so I packed almost all my tools into a single pelican case. I was a little surprised they all fit. Of course, try finding any particular tool… And the thing probably weighs a couple hundred pounds, but, it’ll be good ballast in the Jeep against the weight of a trailer. I think it makes a funny sight, anyways. The well-made Pelican case doesn’t seem to mind at all.
