Adventioneering

So awhile back I heard that the DoD had taken a couple of airstreams and bolted them onto pallets for use as mobile command centers. Apparently outfitted with secure communications gear the idea is these things can be loaded into any given plane and put into the air at a moments notice.

What I hadn’t seen before were pictures, but behold. I am torn a bit, it’s a neat idea (and certainly not a new one) and I have to give them props for the style (even if the interior looks like an original 1970s interior), but, why not use a cargo container based system?
