Saw a six car fender bender this morning, on the 148th St. bridge over 520. How do you do that? They were all just smushed into each other.

Just turned 4k on the way to dinner. This means I’ve ridden about 300 miles since getting it. And for that matter, when is DOT going to stop requiring that 55mph be indicated on the speedometer. It’s been a long time since that was a speed limit that mattered anywhere.

Rode over to Alki, and got horribly lost in the process (ended up in this bermuda triangle hell where all roads lead to 99 south) after I missed an exit due to traffic. Just let me say: fuck that bit of I-5 south of I-90. Is that even pavement? It’s bad enough in a car, [...]

Beautiful day today. I rode out to Snoqualmie Falls at JP’s suggestion, but it was clogged with w/ families and kids, like a billion people, and I couldn’t find a spot in the lot. Instead of dealing with that, I just kept riding, and headed up to North Bend where I stood around and stared [...]

So of course, it rained today. It’s probably going to rain all month. In fact if it snows in the Seattle area I know who you can blame. I rode out to Starbucks to get some lunch today and ordered a mocha out of habit, before realizing that I couldn’t possibly take it with me. [...]

The machine is safe and sound at home after a long (and cold!) trip around the lake. I didn’t really feel like just jumping on the hwy, so there we are. It rides beautifully and feels like a great size for me at this point.

Finding a good example of a S2R proved to be a little bit of a waiting game, but after a few weeks a great one with three thousand some miles popped up on CL. I went and looked at it yesterday, just beautiful, and bought it. I should be picking it up tomorrow. 2007 with [...]
