After Tulips I broke off and headed back to Anacortes, and then headed south on HWY20 down through Whidbey island. It was absolutely beautiful through the Deception Pass area, the north end of the island. The sun was just starting to go down and the vistas were amazing, totally not captured at all with my [...]

The tulip festival is still there, and the traffic is still horrible, if anyone was wondering. This is the second year I’ve attended. We headed up to Anacortes to have the famous rumored fish and chips at the San Juan Lanes, the only bowling alley in town (and therefore easy to find, turn right/east on [...]

Replaced the steering gear in the TJ (finally) after the new one has been sitting around in the shop since I got it. The job was fairly straightforward, about equally as complicated as doing it on a discovery, but dealing with the steering coupler was a little more work because there’s less access in the [...]

Coming off the I-405 ramp onto 520 [...]

So this guy Eng on PNWRiders put together a call for a group ride, and amazingly, 28 people showed up. This was the intended route although I ended up splitting off with some of the guys and taking Hobart Rd up into Issaquah. This was my first real group ride and it was a lot [...]

In some Lost tangent universe, I’m in a hospital or dead. I may or may not be the living receiver. Some woman in a bimbobox pulled out on me turning left onto Old Redmond Rd (into my direction of travel) while I was riding to work this morning. She saw me, and just stopped in [...]

Today was absolutely gorgeous here in Seattle. Alex got in a nice ride as we headed out to Discovery Park for a hike, hit up Beth’s Cafe for some dinner, and rounded it out with a trip out to the Ballard Locks. It was the first time I have been out to the locks and [...]
