Sweating on Snow Fields

For all the times that Bryan has visited us in Seattle, he has never been to Mt. Rainier, the mountain that he wants to climb. It was a gorgeous day for a drive so we headed south to Paradise passing loads of motorcycles and convertibles. After enjoying coffee and a snack in the new visitors [...]

Shimmy! Shimmy!

Yay, roadtrip planning day #183.  In addition to finding a driver and trying to decide which route to take (which I probably won’t do until Chicago) my inept roadtrip preparations have also included some minor stuff for my Subi.  This amounted to checking fluids, changing the oil and mounting my summer wheels. Ducati S2R 7500 Mile

Started pulling the bike apart for the 7500 mile maintenance. Access to the valve covers is pretty good on this particular bike (as it turns out), but there didn’t seem to be TDC indicator through the oil sight glass like other Ducati’s, so I have to figure out where the TDC reference is before I [...]

Steve is in town visiting. His primary goal for his time in Seattle was to enjoy a motorcycle ride with friends while he is here. With that, we climbed on the bikes around 10 am this morning and headed out. The monsoon rains of yesterday evening had cleared out as promised and we had a [...]
