CB750

Decided after some research to go with a 836cc stroke/bore. Trying to decide on 10.25:1 or 12:1 and then I should be good to go… Pretty soon I am going to have to weld up or otherwise construct an engine stand for when I want to start it.
what’s the original stroke? 750cc?
I forget what the length of the stroke is, but the original displacement with the stock bore (the smallest bore) is ~ 736cc. I think it ends up being around 750cc at stock oversize B, and a little more at oversize D. I actually don’t remember if the 750′s are square or not (stroke equal to bore).
which means you need to replace all four pistons, the connecting rods and the crankshaft? sounds like a major overhaul.
You just bore the engine cylinders out to be larger and then change the pistons. Different head gasket because now the holes are larger than expected. Although the engine is completely apart and changing the crank and anything else would not really have been more work.
2×4 engine stand?
