The problem was with the remote pins not making good contact, sorted enough by spacing the spins a little and probably (moreso) adding some di-electric grease. Probably a good idea anyways because the way the socket is on the winch, it can trap a little water. Now it becomes a game to see if Superwinch [...]

Confirmed that the problem was with the solenoid. If I’d had a long 4mm allen key with me at the time on the trail, I could have gotten the winch to spool in by jumping it with a jumper cable (which I did have, at least). I guess if you were truly in peril you [...]
