It was raining and crappy this morning, so I did what any normal person would do and put on some GoreTex and headed for the other side of the mountains in pursuit of sunlight. The weather through the pass was cold and miserable but it was all worth it if only to stop off at [...]

Weekend Miles

By the time we were at breakfast, Victoria and I were already late to the offroad thing, and we had the car not the Jeep. I kind of wanted to do something with her that wasn’t the same-old, so we drove up to Vancouver and I dropped in on some old friends of mine that [...]

R/C Heli

When I moved to Boston from Seattle I got rid of a lot of stuff, especially half finished projects. One of which was my old R/C heli, which I never even got around to flying in Seattle. I had given it to Tom on this notion that he would fix it up, but he never [...]

Timelapse Test #2

The flickering is due to the clip being shot using Av exposure, and the unstable meter taking lots of different readings even though the scene hadn’t changed at all. Hitch Installed & Swaybar Repaired

The hitch is installed. It was a pretty straightfoward installation but it was tight, I had to use a floor jack to get it on. The issue was the tabs were just slightly too tight against the frame rails. The wiring was a snap, 2 minutes to install. We’re looking at trying to hit these [...]

Seattle Day #4

Woke up at 0700h despite having gone to bed at 0030h. Toured the MS labs and played with a Microsoft Surface which was loaded up with some interesting demos and games. It was nice to see Sun equipment represented in the labs, although that partnership seems rocky due to the Oracle merger. No BBQ tonight [...]
