Also don’t be a moron like I was and burn a hole in your TAD gear fleece doing something like this.

Weekend Camping

Well, the weather was certainly cooperating this weekend, doubly so since I look outside right now and it’s raining. JG and I headed up to Beckler. One of the things I wanted to do is see if I could get into this other set of roads that looks like it’s west on the other side [...]

Snow Run

Headed up HWY2 to the Beckler Rd area to do a little “winch training” for Victoria, who wanted to improve her skills. I had left a MagPul magazine up there the weekend before so I figured why not go back and see if it was still there. Unfortunately someone had come and chainsawed up the [...]

Jeep Tech

So JG took a pass at getting his TJ going but no love. Looks like it’ll have to be towed out to the shop; his old alarm finally broke by “going off” and he can’t figure out how to disarm it. This set off the immobilizer. Sucks. From what I hear they did a real [...]

Love The Jeep

I’ve been riding the S2R since I got it a couple months ago every day, rain or shine, but today it was time to love the Jeep. Finally picked up an air compressor this weekend (I have to stop moving and giving away/selling my compressors), and ran the pitman jesus bolt on. On a metric [...]

TJ Steering Gear

Replaced the steering gear in the TJ (finally) after the new one has been sitting around in the shop since I got it. The job was fairly straightforward, about equally as complicated as doing it on a discovery, but dealing with the steering coupler was a little more work because there’s less access in the [...]

Jeep Teardrop

Steve gave me a tip that a friend of his has put together a very cool teardrop trailer, and look at what’s towing it, a TJ. I like the way he put it together, nearly all scratchbuilt, and it seems wider than I am used to seeing. You can checkout the photos.
